Pain

I was just diagnosed with fatty liver disease and I have pain with mine. I have other health issues which limits what I am able to take for pain! Bottom line is Tylenol is my only option and I CANT take Tylenol!! No pain meds will be prescribed! I was referred to a pain specialist! Made my appointment with one and I go in 3 weeks! Does anyone else have pain and, if so, what did you do?

Yes I have pain, The Liver Doctor doesn't help prescribed amitriptyline to help pain it helped at first. My Primary has several Liver patients and prescribed me pain med with NO TYLENOL.

I had severe pain for quite a few years and they had me on all kinds of meds for it. I quit taking them all and you know what?? I hardly have pain anymore!!! I know from having a pain pill abuse problem 8yrs ago that they stop working eventually and you need more and more to take away the pain and eventually they stop working. I should know I was addicted to them for 15yrs. Exercise and a strict diet...especially much stricter for my ascites and liver disease...helps tons! I know my fatty liver and autoimmune liver disease was made much worse by drugs and alcohol and I so wish I never touched either because I regret it so much now. I take nothing for pain at all now.
