The Support group for the North East Somerset area has met two times this year, and we are now able to confirm dates for future meetings in 2015.

Saturday 20th June

Saturday 26th September

Saturday 21st November

All sessions run from 11am to 1pm.

Venue:

Stratton on the Fosse Village Hall

The Village Hall

Fosse Way

Stratton on the Fosse

Radstock

Somerset

BA3 4QQ

Tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits, cakes & small fruit items & vegetable sticks are provided.

Gluten & Dairy free items available.

Childrens toys and games are set out for playing.

Information leaflets and booklets from the FASD Trust are available.

I have available for people to browse, my own copies of books about the effects of alcohol.

At the moment each session is planned as an informal coffee morning, as we are setting up the group and still encouraging more families to come along.

We hope to plan special events and training sessions in the future, once we have a regular group of families coming to the meetings.

The venue has been chosen as it is equal distance from Bath, Frome and Wells. It is a lovely hall with good facilities, plenty of parking & there's a great children's playground & park next to the hall.

Buses run from Bath, Frome and Wells and stop on Fosse Way, which is the road on which the hall is located.

We hope that you will join us and help this fledgling group expand over the coming months!

If you are able to display posters promoting the group at your local health centre, school, local library, supermarkets, etc, please let me know and I will send you digital version via a private message.

Wishing you all happy and sun-filled Springtime!

It's in the diary, really looking forward to meeting you and sharing ideas and experiences. If anyone is interested I'd be happy to bring along my home ed resources list and my " how and why we do it this way " philosophy.

Have to go now and stop ww3 breaking out over who gets the biggest slice of cake - I'm sure there's a lesson in fractions opportunity !!!

Hi, we will be moving to North Wiltshire next week and are thinking of coming along to the N E Somerset group as our nearest group(?)

My daughter Lizzie (15) wants to know how old your kids are :)

We home-educate too!

Best wishes Shara 'boots'

Hello!

Lovely to hear from you, ours are 5 and nearly 12, so a bit on the young side for your daughter. Having said that they do have home ed in common and it would be great to hear your take on it. I really hope you make it to the meeting and that the move goes smoothly - if there is such a thing ??!!??
