My little boy is 34 months and totally smashed the weeing on potty but, although he won’t use the toilet yet. He also doesn’t want to do a poo on the potty and waits for days then we just let him have a nappy and he does it. Any ideas to help encourage him to poo on potty or toilet, we’ve promised him a big toy if he does it.

Potty Training Poo Tips
I don't have any great tips (we have similar issues!), but I think the most important thing is to stop your son withholding, even if it means he always wears a nappy to poo in for now. Once withholding becomes a habit for them it's really hard to break, plus the bowel stretches (to accommodate all the extra poo), the poo can dry out and become impacted and it can take a really long time to get back to normal. That's a nightmare you definitely don't want.
Have you heard of a book called "Stool Withholding: What to do When Your Child Won't Poo" by Sophia J Ferguson? Thankfully it doesn't sound as though your son is impacted at this point so not all of the book will be relevant, but it might be worth a read. We're still at the "pooing in nappy" stage as my son unfortunately became very impacted. I'm sure others will have some good potty training tips but I just wanted to share our experience so that you can (hopefully) avoid being in our situation.
