caverject/aprostadil pain

I had prostate surgery not too long ago and am now trying to find what works best regarding the ED aftereffect. Cialis did not work, Caverject/aprostadil was too painful, so now I am using Bimix Forte with a vacuum pump, which is better than nothing. I would like to try the caverject again with some painkiller, such as ibufen or even an opioid. Does anyone here have any experience or knowledge about this? Even my urologist couldn't give me any information, though he said I should try, but I'd prefer to have to hear if it has helped others before I do so, because it really was painful. Thanks

I had the exact same problem with Caverject in 2016. The pain was pretty much unbearable. Solved completely by switching to an alternative injection called Invicorp. Very strong long lasting (3hrs) erections without any concurrent or residual pain. Free on prescription here in Scotland with a one a week allowance. Can purchase more privately if needed.

I thought my question was clear, but I see that it has been misunderstood or ignored. Perhaps the title I gave was misleading. I am only asking if anyone has tried using painkillers for the aprostadil pain, not about the pain itself, which is basic knowledge, and neither about alternatives, which I clearly stated that I am already using. Thanks anyway.

I have read that others have the same problem with the aprostadil in the injection. There are other mix formulas that don't include it. I personally found that certain areas of my penis seem to take the injections better than others. I also had changed the needle size down to a 31 ga instead of the 28 they originally gave me. Now the only time I experience pain is if I use too much formula, (It degrades with age so I was instructed to use a little more as it ages) or if I inject into more sensitive areas. I figured it was worth a little pain to find a good combination for my playtime. As another note, I also have noticed that if it's been a while (a few weeks) since I last did an injection (including the first time I did it) that there is some pain and was told that was the tissues experiencing proper blood flow since they are not used to it. I was instructed to do it on a regular basis. Since I followed those instructions, I rarely have pain anymore.

I usually take some acetaminophen before injecting with tri-mix and that reduces the pain somewhat for me.

Thanks. I had asked my GP whether I should try ibufen or tramadex (an opioid), which I had leftover in the house from surgery (I forgot that I also had some paracetamol/acetaminophen) and he suggested the latter, and except for a few seconds here and there I felt no pain at all. Maybe I am hyper-sensitive to pain in general, and these injections are such a hassle as well as expensive - besides the fact that the pain kills any desire to use the erection - I prefer an overkill. What I wonder is why is there no discussion about this in medical texts? Why don't doctors suggest painkillers in advance? Does everyone assume that people will take care of themselves with painkillers for any instance of pain?

I have no experience with penile injections but do have another possible alternative for you to consider. PT-141. I’ve had very good success using it along with 5mg of cialis. Cialis by itself doesn’t really work for me bit the combination of the two is really great.

Thanks, but I read that PT-141 does not work if there's an underlying medical condition for ED, in my case, post-prostate surgery. What's with you? I also spoke to my urologist, who had never heard of PT-141, and from what he read, he also thought it wouldn't work. The FDA only approves it for women's arousal. I live overseas. If I do want to try it, where can I get it from a reliable source?

PT-141 is a peptide and has been approved for both men and women. You can actually purchase it without a script from peptide vendors online. For me, especially with I combine it with a low dose of cialis, I get spontaneous erections...without any stimulation. It takes about two hours to take effect and lasts about eight hours. I've not had any surgeries so I don't know if it will work for you or not. Here in the states I purchase it from MintRx. I got a script from them as well. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck.

I use 10mg of Cialis daily to get an erection during sleep every morning as waking this keeps good blood flow to the penis to prevent scaring, then on the nights sex is planned 25mg of viagra and 12mg Trimax, like you if I use 25mg trimix it hurts after a couple uses.

What dosage are you presently taking? Im presently prescribed Tri-mix @ 0.15 but had a priapism episode. And so the Dr advised to lower the dose to 0.05. The erection still lasted a longer time thank expected and so I the next dose is injected was 0.04. Still the same issue. Both were solved with taking the sudafed antidote pills. Next time Ill be trying a dose of 0.02 and see what my results will be. I guess the bottom line it that everyone is different and your need to find the dosage that works for you. But make sure that you consult your doctor. As I have and will be doing on my next visit.
