New treatment?

Has anyone tried the acoustical wave therapy? Also called Swiss Wave. Advertised as a device that opens blood vessels and creates new ones. No pills or needles needed to treat ED.

Cool. I wonder if it would help with the severe Raynaud's I have in my hands and feet. Already have a prosthetic so won't need it for ED.

Thanks, will definitely check it out. I also have scleroderma which hardens the tissues which also shrinks the veins. Would be nice to find something to take other than diltiazam.

I have not gone in for the shock wave/Gains wave therapy. First off, there is so much greed - there is one "gains wave" clinic that wants to charge $ 4000. There is no oversight what so ever and even an initial consultation is $ 417.00. There is no guarantee that this will work, but these guys did rob you of $ 417.00, even if you back out after the first consultation.

There are these machines available for about $ 1500 - if you want to save on the cost. All said, there is no guarantee it will work, the treatment is expensive. Worst of all, the effects last between 1 to 2 years, at the maximum.

None of these guys who run these "Gains wave" or Shock wave therapy centers can explain, how new "nerves" or "Veins" will develop, if this was followed.

I've done a lot of research about focused shockwave therapy for ED recently. What I've found is the acoustical version (Gainswave, etc) uses radial waves that don't penetrate the tissue deep enough to be that effective. The focused Shockwave version can deliver the energy much deeper, where it's usually needed, but the equipment is also more expensive so most clinics in the US don't offer that version. I'm sure some men have had success with the acoustical version but most of the urologist videos I've seen on Youtube don't recommend it.

It's supposed to work by creating micro level tears in the tissue which your body naturally responds to by creating new blood vessels in those areas so it can repair the damage. More blood vessels equals more circulation and bloodflow to the penis which should help erections be stronger (same result as pills but different approach). Focused shockwave therapy has been used for years to treat muscle and sports injuries. It's not FDA approved in the US to treat ED even though it seems to have a strong history of success.
