Unsure what was triggering light jerks during the day...

I'm new here. I was diagnosed with epilepsy age 11, after light jerks of my arms started at a very young age and caused serious worries to my parents. I went to our local GP, who immediately referred me to a specialist who, together with a neurologist, diagnosed me with having tonic clonic epilepsy after history showed that at age 3, when I suffered a very high fever and rushed to the local A&E, I sustained severe brain damage. I started having petit mal fits, but my first grand mal fit was at age 17. Now, 29 years later - I'll be 40 beginning September, I'm almost living a normal life. I don't have any friends or family suffering from epilepsy, so it will be great to connect with other epileptics - whether through the net or in person.
