The only thing I have ever had was when I lived alone and I was having very bad seizures, I had a special alarm box fitted in the house (by my local council) which worked with an alarm which I wore round my neck and which triggered an alert signal in the box if I went QUICKLY from vertical to horizontal. If that alarm was set off, someone would phone and if they got no reply, they would send the paramedics.

This might be much more than the kind of thing you are looking for but perhaps worth knowing about.

Thank you so much for that it is really helpful.

Sounds like a great idea and I hope you can find something to help. Regret, I don't know of anything at this stage.

We have tried a bed seizure alert monitor but it was complicated to set up and unless you are having full tonic clonic's regularly so that you can fine tune the operation of the device this may be of limited use. There are ones that link up with your mobile phone to call for help if you live alone as well as the more traditional ones that just trigger an alarm.

There is something called epilepsy alert smart watch - smart-monitor.com/ into which a lot of research has gone: I would like one for my son but it is quite expensive. This sensors seizures and alerts your phone. Wearing something like this would give considerable freedom and peace of mind as you can wear it all the time.

There is an App called Epidetect which again uses mobile phone technology but they have not yet tried out the app on phones like Peebles or Smart Watch.

Are there any app makers out there who can speed up availability of suitable apps coupled with the latest technology. Ideally you want to be able to wear the silicon wrist band technology that sports people now use, so that you can wear it on your ankle and wrist to detect other seizures to such as myoclonic seizures.

There is a type of pillow called Sleep-Safe pillow - sleep-safe.co.uk

I wish my cousin had had one of these as she died of SUDEP this time last year leaving behind a distraught husband and 2 little children. I would definitely stay steer clear of memory foam pillows as, if you sink your head into one of these,

it will mould to your face and you would be more likely to suffocate.
