Hi everyone, I work in a nursery setting and when getting up from being down on a child seat I come over all funny to the point when I felt as tho my whole body wanted to full to the ground, my vision went funny like everything was slowly spinning around. As at the time I was in the room with staff and children if anything was to happen I didn't want it to happen while in the room with the children so slowly walked across the room and felt myself walk to one side instead of a straight line when I had left the room I went to sit down and suddenly started getting really hot and felt horrible vision started going funny and then went cold shivering then after about half hour I felt okayish. A staff member also said the colour in my face had gone and I looked really ill. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this before? I haven't been to the doctors about it.

Hi

I would make an appointment to see your Gp, it could be a lot of things including a virus infection, but I would see the doctor

I've been ok since this happened so that's why I haven't booked an appointment

If this happens again soon, it could be a virus or something so makes sense to see your GP, but I think this might be epilepsy related.

I haven't had any seizures for a few years now, but what you said about walking to one side instead of in a straight line really reminded me of something that I experienced a few times as a tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizure was beginning. Several times, I felt my head slowly moving upwards and towards the right and was unable to control it just before I lost consciousness. Once, when I still shared a room with my sister, I was in there with her and had a very unusual seizure experience. I was stood on the floor and again this head thing happened, but this time, my whole body moved with it, I actually turned around on the spot before I fully lost consciousness. She obviously knew there was something wrong as I could hear her yelling my name, but I was unable to respond.

This is something that only happened to me a handful of times, usually I lost consciousness before I knew anything was wrong.

I don't know if this is any help.

That sounds like my complex partial seizures. I too, have been unable to walk straight and have weird feelings like I'm going to fall down too - you are certainly not alone in this. I take Tegretol which usually works for me. I think you should go to the doctor though if these are different symptoms for you.

Best wishes

I would make an appointment to see your GP. Have you had your blood pressure checked. This happened to me when getting up from a chair I went all funny and couldn't walk straight. I went immediately to see my GP It turned out I had low blood pressure.Thankfully it has not happened to me since it would appear it was a one off.

Hope this is helpful

This could be anything from a lucky escape from a grand mal to a simple UTI. Get a blood test done to elliminate deficiencies and blood viruses - dependant on the results also get plenty exercise and good diet and if after 6 weeks you find yourself still feeling this way and your bloods were normal - make sure you return to your GP. Don't put up with it.
