Real Bad Yesterday

Coming back home on the bus from a failed interview, I had 1 of my seizures as I remember a street name & then nothing much for a few mins after, I was well & truly confused, didn't know what time it was, where I was on the bus let alone on the route, in the end a very kind female passenger said what town we were coming into as overheard my conversation to my husband

He had to meet me @ the bus stop near to where we live as I was so sure that I was gonna end up missing it & end up @ the end of the route in the nearby town, possibly had a 2nd seizure as well as next thing I remember us coming into the village before the 1 we live in, prior to that turning down the road to head that way & yet again confused

Do you plan to make an appointment with your neurologist? To discuss your options.

I find due to my medication it dehydrates me, (constant dry mouth) so I always have a bottle of water with me. And I do you yoga & walking to try keep me less anxious.

He's xtremely supportive & yes it was the most scary thing ever, has kinda put me off doing long trips on public transport without another person I know with me

Yes as he didn't wanna see me until next mnth, so we're gonna discuss that plus the increase of my seizures with him & see what he says, he's understanding like the 1 before was

Hi can I ask what medication you are currently on?

For your info I take Keppra, Zonisamide & Clobazam 😄(one has to smile) still a balancing act as my meds have effected my bone density so now take calcium/D prescription! Which is one of the side effects but Not stated on the info leaflet!! I’m always thirsty are you? Take care X SJ

The full list of tablets I'm on is: Quetiapine, Mebeverine, Mirtazapine, Stemetil, Topiramate, Cinnarizine & Clopidogrel

Primidone is on the list & Zonisamide is also known but you have to look this one up differently as my GP & neurologist informed me!!

You should be ok but check with your neurologist or gp as it isn’t stated on the drug leaflet info under side effects.

I get like that after a seizure, all confused as mine are the absent type, but also suffer from night seizures. Thankfully, so far I ain't had no more since then, but I never know when I'll have 1 until I do
