I've always went on the premise that ;- it's up to every one else to cope/ deal / come to terms with my Epilepsy ! due to the fact that;-

I Never Fr####in asked for the condition, nor the complications it brought to my life,(both social & personal!!)..

I remember feeling like that when I was younger as I am really outgoing and no one knew until they saw it, which I really felt embarrassed about.

But now I have had it so long I have grown more confident and I realised that people, not all, are accepting and understanding. Those who aren’t have the issue and are usually sad people so pity them.

I have had my condition over 30 years and I have the chronic tonic seizures but I also suffered with block out seizures when I was younger.

My family could not cope with my epilepsy and its side effects from all the drugs I was taking. I ended up getting a divorce and the judge said I was not able to look after my 5 children due to my condition so I was not able to have my children. So.......my ex had everything, children, house, furniture, pictures and I was asked to leave .

I left and moved away and bought a boat. It took the children over 15yrs to come back and talk to me and even now when they have children of their own I am still not considered their real mum, their step-mum is. So even now when I am now a grandmother I am not included in their lives because of my condition. I have come to terms with it, but they have not.
