Spent 5 weeks in a specialist Epilepsy Hospital and wrote a poem at one of my lowest points.

Trapped in my Body.

When you know what's capable,

But your body won't give.

When you need brain activity,

So you are able to 'live'.

The brain is so complex,

And so far from peace.

So you lie awake until midnight,

Straightening out every crease.

Your minds screaming out,

Please let me fit!!

But your body is thinking,

'I'll make her wait for a bit'.

So I sit in the hospital,

Praying I seize.

My family and friends all keep me at ease.

But all that I want,

Is truely to be,

100% completely fit free.

What a fantastic poem it’s exactly how I feel you have read a lot of our minds I’m sure. My family are so happy when I don’t fit but I get so tired physically waiting for them to come.

Nicole, you have considerable talent. Have you ever thought of doing an Open University course? I think you could do a course in Creative Writing. I managed two of them

Hi Nicole im Matthew i have epilepsy too and thats how exactly i feel and my family are the same and i have absences tonic clonic and drops

I don't have any drop seizures, I have right temporal lobe, focal and partial seizures (my diagnoses from the hospital) but we are all on the same brain wave with this horrible condition ❤ xxx
