Hi Everybody!..I suffer from epilepsy for26 years now. the condition was the end result

Following significant head

Truma which forced Major emergency brain operations at the western general in Edinburgh by professor ian whittle,(a Truly Brilliant Surgeon and Human Being!).

my main worry is ;- significant changes to pattern of 'attacks'...from Grand mal seizures unconsciousness,/ recovery./ tiredness./ (10/15 mins)..

to;- Really Scary Abscence's Lasting..90minutes,/ 2 Hours!..where I am totally aware throughout episodes..but unable to interact with outside world!!

Hello, this situation sounds scary indeed for you indeed. After some years, in my experience, the pattern of attacks can change and indicate a need for change/ increased medication......or something in the brain changing but, either way, I would really hope you will be going back to your neurological team to discuss.

I had my first op in ‘ 83, another ‘86 and a third in’96 and epilepsy also the result of the first op. However, after each op they were convinced they’d sorted the problem of blood clots and fingers crossed they have now! ( no disrespect to them btw, they were marvellous!) I mention this now only that before each op I had symptoms that were grand mal/absence type - this is not to alarm you but to underline that it’s impossible to tell what’s going on without an MRI etc .......sometimes a/old new drug can cause symptoms, other times a condition itself!

Thank you for the kind thoughts/ideas Beansheen! Managed to obtain an appointment with my local' phone in' 'Eppy nurse ''clinic''..(Shitey made up job)..on tues...and another meeting with my consultant on Wednesday!!…..{Amazing what strapping 20 kilo's of Explosives on your body gets you!!??}..Ha.ha.ha!!!...but I think the nurse 'clinic'..Experience is a Complete Crock of Shite!!!----on a help /health /..experience..it equals.;-...asking patric moore "what type of Cheese makes up the moon???"....ah..ha..vomit's!!
