My daughter Beth (14) is in hospital after her 3 rd seizure in 9 months.
Previous tests all in conclusive but they have decided after this daytime seizure and having todds paresis she is epileptic. Thank god they are going to start keppra tonight , and if all ok we can go home tomorrow afternoon
I hope you and your daughter manage ok. I was 14 when I started having seizures, too. It's quite a common age, as lots of epilepsies are affected by hormones which are obviously all over the place at that age.
Just be aware that Keppra doesn't work for everyone and can also have some nasty side effects. In particular, look out for changes in her behaviour/personality.
