stomach acid
I don't understand this stomach acid 'thing'. I take a proton pump inhibitor for high stomach acid but people insist that as you get older you're stomach acid reduce. I'm 79. Also that doctors erroneously mistake low stomach acid for high!! What is going on? Any thoughts

Hi all,I've been taking 1,sometimes 2 laxido sachets daily for the past 3 months and this has helped. My gastroenteritis has suggested swapping for prucalopride 1mg but this gives me all day stomach ache.My question is,is laxido safe to use daily long term?

PA/stomach pain
Hi all, I’m so grateful for all of your support as I’ve started down this road. Got diagnosed with PA/AIG in the fall via an endoscopy. I am on B12 injections. My stomach pain has gotten steadily worse instead of better even though I am on a very restrictive diet. Is there any reason for me to believe

swallowing/throat sensation
hi everyone, I’ve been battling on and off with acid reflux for two years, with two recent endoscopies ruling out anything sinister, a 3cm sliding haitus hernia but nothing more. PPI’s haven’t suited me very well, and more recently I’ve had great success with digestive enzymes and management of my

colonoscopy and endoscopy concerns
I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy in 1 week. My last colonoscopy was 8 years ago and the two colonoscopies before that found nothing but hemorrhoids ( all colonoscopies were pre CLL diagnosis in Oct of 2017). I have never had an endoscopy but I do have a cough that seems to start after

Lupus re-diagnosis UCTD
Hello All, so when I last posted I had been to the rheumatologist Prof X and told my bloods were not suggestive of lupus but he did not suggest want condition could be the underlying cause of my symptoms. This morning he chose not to see me, instead I saw a very nice female doctor in clinical research

Question about Celiac or NCGS...
I am wondering if anyone with NCGS gets neurological symptoms? I am also wondering about Celiac; if you test negative - does that mean you definitely are not Celiac? Last tests I got was when I was off gluten - blood and endoscope. So found nothing... Took a private finger prick one the other day, awaiting

consultant Gastroenterologist
A phone call yesterday from a consultant Gastroenterologist was very unsuccessful! It lasted less than 5 mins! I explained my symptoms and what my last blood tests results were and I am indeterminate B12 deficient (as per March 24 N.I.C.E guidlines); I also explained it may be my gastric band that’s

Positive news and maybe some useful feedback
So mid 2021 I was diagnose with Cirrhosis. I had a Liver Function Test score of 126. I was told it was Alcohol related ( Yes I drank too much, but compared to many I wasn't heavy). I was told to wean myself off the alcohol ( I stopped instantly with no issues, although this isn't safe for everyone),

endoscopy with vagal tachycardia
I am due to have an endoscopy exam but my tachycardia episodes are usually started with vagal stimulation. Even turning my head to the right or down can start an arrythmia which can last for hours. Has anybody else had an endoscopy? I live in UK and will be offered sedation but despite this will

Cured by Meds?
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. For some time I had what felt like burning in my sternum and what seemed to be a heartbeat in my stomach. I thought I had either an ulcer or anxiety. Felt silly saying this to GP but I had been anxious about work. Following an examination of stomach by GP, he said

I haven’t been well for about three years now, and have suffered from fatigue since my early thirties. Just lately I have noticed that my feet keep turning red, I feel very breathless without an exertion, have heart palpitations, headaches with ringing in my ears, and lots of gastric issues. Just recently
