Hi Ellen

The simple answer is yes :)

As soon as the injections stop, the effects are reversed, and everything will go back to normal. You might read horror stories on the internet about that not happening, but it's very, very rare

Giving her the injections straight after the op is a common procedure, and will give her the best possible chance of getting pregnant. However, it is vital that she takes every precaution against getting pregnant while she's on the injections (condoms) because the drug carries a very high risk of harm to the baby. It's highly unlikely that she would fall pregnant while she's on them because they effectively shut the reproductive system down, but they absolutely are not a contraceptive on their own.

Hope this helps, and hope she is recovering well from the op :)

Hi

If she is ready to have a baby, the best chances are 6-12 months after the operation when everything is clean inside. She could have a discussion with her doctor to see if she wants to try for a baby first for a few months and then go down the root for the injections.

Hope she feels better soon xx

Hey

Im on zoladex, one of the menopause inducing drugs. Ive had two injections & will be having six.

My best advice is to tell her to do lots of research on the drugs. They really are horrible and give you tons of side effects. At first they give a flare effect and make your symptoms worse, but I can say in month two im getting there and pain is best it has been in ages.

If you know what to expect, makes it more manageable.

Make sure she joins on here as it will be a very emptional time and I have found my biggest support and information to come from these ladies, I would be lost without them.

Good luckxxx
