Just found out I'm pregnant. Worried about any complications due to endo. Does anyone have any advice for pregnancy and endo?

Congratulations to you....

Everyone's different where endo/pregnancy are concerned

You should be fine.. Hopefully ur doc will support you if you

Have any worries..

Some people have no pain or symptoms while pregnant.

Others the pain continues..

Take care and enjoy watching your bump grow..

Congratulations! Look after yourself and follow all the advice you're given, but many ladies with endometriosis have no trouble with their pregnancies and I hope it all goes smoothly. Fingers crossed you get a bit of relief from the endo too! xxx

Thanks everyone for your answers. No one I know with endo has ever managed to get pregnant before, so I'm pretty nervous. 1st appointment next week and hopefully an ultrasound as now 7 weeks. will keep you posted

Hi Vicky, do you mind if I ask what 'stage' endo you have? I'm also trying to conceive.

Thanks,

Laura Xx

Hi Laura,

I was never told which stage it is/was. I had a lap 6 months ago, and they found several lesions on the ligaments of the uterus, and several lesions in the sac of douglas. These were lasered during the op. My left ovary has also moved and is now sitting in front of uterus, and I've had problems with medium size cysts on this. My right ovary has moved and now behind my uterus, with a few free floating cysts. And my uterus is tilted and slanting the wrong way. So all in all a miracle that I'm pregnant.

Good luck to you! The best advice people gave me was to relax, and not to try so hard or think about it. And then it will happen. Easier said than done I know.

Thank you so much for replying Vicky! I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a bad time with endo, but now I'm even more happy for you that you're pregnant! I haven't heard of many people becoming pregnant either, so was interested to know. I was diagnosed with stage 4 and have recently found out I have a cyst. Surgery is scheduled soon to get that sorted - this will be my 3rd lap!

Thanks for the well wishes, hopefully it will happen for us soon.

Take care!

Congratulations Vicky, that's amazing news. All I can say is try and rest and eat and drink healthy. Don't be afraid to speak to your doc about any worries you have. Good luck with everything and I hope you have a smooth pregnancy and enjoy your little miracle when he/she arrives xxx

hiya vicky, congratulations on the pregnancy first i would like to tell you i was having problems and was reffered to the gyne by my doctors early last year as they thought i had endo and was also having problems with my periods, before i got a chance to see a gyne i was pregnant as i was trying for my 4th child as i was ready to have my last baby. i still went to my appointment and there was nothing they could do just said that if i was still having problem to get reffered again iv heard that pregnacy can give endo a break if you are lucky to get pregnant but i know personally that when you are near to the end it can be very painful as i know i was in and out of hospital with pain from 27 weeks into my pregnancy but at the time i did not know i had endo until after my lil man was born and i was reffered back to gyne and was diagnosed ! everytime i went shopping or went out i was rushed into hospital with the pain i also had other complications on my pregnancy where he tried to come early a few times and they had to stop the labour im not trying to worry you i just wanted to be honest with you if you have any pain yu must be seen staight away i do hope and pray that you have a very good and healthy pregnancy.in the end i had to have my second c-section as i was in a 38 hour labour as i was not dialating i was then rushed of for a c-section where my little man was born he is now one in jan.xx

Hi Vicky,

Congratulations x

I was in the same boat as you, i had severe Endo and tilted womb and fell pregnant with my little boy. My pregnany went really well. My only problem was my hips could not hold him properly towards the end. So my only advice is to relax as much as you can.
