Conceiving after prostap

Hello ladies.

I started prostap nearly 3 months ago to stop my periods and help the endo "fade", I have another 3 months of jabs left to go.

How long does it take to fall pregnant when the treatment has finished?

Would really love to have my first child after all the crap I've been through xx

Hi I have had Decapeptyl which I understand is very similar. I was told you have to wait for your first period to ensure that everything is working and you are ovulating. This can take anything from 2 weeks to 6 months to appear. I only had one jab in the end due to the doctor not explaining things properly before I had it. So I am currently waiting for a period and will then be able to start trying. Good luck and if I can help further don't hesitate to ask xx

The problem with me ovulating is that I only have one tube, so technically only one ovary to get me pregnant. I can tell that the jab is wearing off as I'm starting to feel pain in my ovaries again.

Just worried about my periods starting again cos I don't want the pain or the endo to come back and ruin the chances of getting pregnant xx

hiya iv just had my last prostap today and hope to start trying for children after my 1st period . iv been told today give it a month for your period then go for it . good luck xxx

After I finished the prostap it took me 18 months to have a period again but fingers and toes crossed it doesn't take that long for you!!

I asked my consultant the same thing and he told me to try immediately after the prostap is out of my system. ie. had my last 3 month prostap injection on the 7th Nov and so we are trying from y'day x

Did you wait for your period to come back or did you just try straight away??xx
