Hi everyone, I am new to all these forums. I was diagnosed with severe Endometriosis and severe PCOS in November 2012. I was checked for PCOS in 2010 and i was told i hadnt got it even tho all the signs were there. I have been trying for a baby with my husband for almost 5 years, with 2 miscarriages along the way. I am still waiting for my first born. In September 2012 I got so poorly and after going back and forth to the doctors i was finally referred to a gynecologist in November where i got diagnosed. I have not been able to have physical sexual contact with my husband since the end of August 2012, I was told be the gynecologist I am to go in for a laparoscopy, in February. I really would like some guidance as i have problems with my back and i am struggling to loose weight, I am panicking they will cancel my operation if I aint a certain weight or my BMI isnt what it should be. Any help will be greatly appreciated, am i panicking for nothing?

I'm lucky not to suffer badly with endo but the effects of it is awful. There is a special endometriosis diet that you can follow which will help a little with your symptoms and should help you lose a little weight, it's a VERY strict diet but some women swear by it.
You can look it up on google but beware that you have to stick to it for a while before noticing any improvements xx keep strong xx

It's so maddening that its taken you so long to be referred to a gynae after all your problems and pain. I don't have pcos but I understand that weight gain is a symptom so I'm not sure how they could deny you it would be a viscious circle. I've said this many times on here but unfortunately you have to make a fuss sometimes to get the treatment you are entitled to and need. Don't be fobbed off. I hope it all goes well and you get a proper diagnosis (which you can only get with a laparoscopy anyway anything else is just guess work). Take care x
I'm a little overweight and my lap was fine. I had mine in April, they cut near your bikini line and also thought your belly button which are areas where there isn't much. Don't let them cancel your op because of this as the surgery may help you a lot
