Little bit of random info for those trying for a baby.

I read somewhere when researching about NSAIDs (Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs) and the implications is can have when trying for a baby.

It can delay ovulation, as some inflammation is needed in order for the follicle in the ovary to push out an egg. I took some a day before my period was due as had bad cramps and little did it occur to me that these were implantation cramps. I took ibuprofen thinking it was bad pre-period cramps, when in fact was just becoming a mummy to be.

When found out was pregnant I was paranoid that I harmed my chance of the baby developing ok and looked up on the internet about NSAIDs and read that it can also interfere with implantation and cause miscarriage in pregnancy. Luckily my baby developed just fine. But when I had really bad pain from endometriosis I tool a lot of Diclofenac, which is quite strong NSAID. Dilemma when needing something to take when in pain and when trying for a baby...

Lucky you can take NSAIDSs, my stomach is way too sensitive, hurts far too much even if I take omeprazole. They thought I had an ulcer so had an endoscopy a few years ago but nothing. xxx

My mum cannot take NSAIS's either as it upsets her stomach a lot she cannot even use anti inflammatory cream as inflames her skin. I hated having to take so many drugs! Not sure if NSAID's did me much help in the past to be honest. xx
