Adenomyosis, anyone else have this as well as endo?

After a very painful HSG my gynae told me I also have en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adeno...

Apparently I'm in only 10% of people who have this along with endo so just wanted to see if anyone has this condition and how they have got on with it so far?

On waiting list for IVF too.

Thanks, it looks to me from my reading and what my doc said that it is different from endo, but it sounds the same! Bit confusing. Hope you get the answers you are looking for. I feel very at sea with it all just now!

Yes I know what you mean - it has taken me fours years of back and forth to the docs to get referred for a scan. Its seems the last resort on both illnesses goes do the same route of a hysterectormy. The symptoms seem pretty similar too. I hope you get more answers to this from people that are experiencing it.

Hi there, I've been in pain for 6 years and my GP is convinced it is endo, I have every symptom listed for it. It's taken this long for me to get a diagnosis and I've been diagnosed with adenomyosis after it was seen on an MRI scan. I have the Mirena fitted as my consultant says its been known to help with the pain. So far after 2 months I feel no different. I get confused as some websites say adenomyosis is different to endo but my consultant says its a type of endo. I'm on the large side so no lap yet but I may have to have one at a later date as I've been told where my pains are mean I could have normal endo too. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. If the Mirena fails to work for me then it could be hysterectomy time. My fertility is zero after years of PCOS and if it means I get my life back it will be worth it. Are you on a treatment for it yet? I understand how you feel, I feel the same.
