What can I do to manage my pain?

I've been at the hospital with very very bad stomach cramps today. They have given me Tremodol and Co- Dydramol to help with the pain, but nothing for the bleeding which is very heavy. Is there any thing I can do to help? I don't have a bath in my house. The pain is thumping through the medication! Any help would be great.

I got a shower seat from occupational health and sometimes I will go sit in the shower cubicle for upto 1hour to release tension (cryin, washin my hair, massaging my tummy)!

I also like a hot water bottles, and castor oil is meant to release toxins then use the hot water bottle or try search 'castor oil pack'.

I used to have terrible pains in my tummy, because I'm severely lactose intolerant, shortly after getting over the pain caused by the lactose test I started avoiding dairy and my tummy has never hurt that much again...... diet changes can be very benefical.

I hope you feel a little better soon, im sorry to hear you feeling too much pain, I hope one day you feel no more pain (hugs)

I found that a cocktail of 100mg tramadol, 10mg morphine and 1000 mg of paracetomol worked best but take a laxative as well as they all bung you up ,

paracetomol makes the tramadol work much more effectively! though i am not sure what is in the co-dydomol you would have to check if it in that too before taking extra. My sister had the marina coil put in because of heavy periods and terrible cramps, she hasn;t had a period since, i think it depends if you want children or not. but it def works. good luck

For acute cramps I feel that a cold pack or a bag of frozen pies helps well. At least it distracts me from the pain for a spell and it seems to take swelling down. Heat makes it (for me) worse. When you can, you should go back to the GP/Specialist.

I find a hot water bottle works for me. Don't fill it up too much though, the weight can makes things worse!
