I really want to start taking control of my own cycle, it is extremely irregular but I want to do research and hopefully try to create a perfect routine for everyday life. I have been referred to a gynaecologist, but I don’t know how much that will take. When I have very strong painful period pains I faint and I live in constant fear every single day because of it. My anxiety has shy rocketed and panic attacks are becoming more and more frequent.
Does anyone have advice on maybe books I could read to inform myself, or videos, or podcasts or something?

Hi ☺️ I don’t have any recommendations for books or pods or anything like that but if you’re not already I try my best to use a period tracker when I have periods, if it can pick up some kind of trend it will (if you find a decent app at least) - the one I have used in the past was ‘period tracker period calendar’ on App Store. You can also note symptoms.
Also maybe look into anti inflammatory diet if you haven’t yet - I find adjusting diets entirely very overwhelming so I just add as much anti inflammatory food into my cooking rather than decide other food is bad and I also take turmeric and ginger shots which I genuinely think help. I get them from my local Tesco ☺️
I’ve also made other little changes that I don’t mind anyways like changing to oat milk from cows but I haven’t entirely cut dairy out.
Ive also recently got a tens machine which has been an absolute life changer, so much I’ve ordered a second more discreet one in the hopes I can wear it out and about. If you do look into getting on i would advise on getting one with a heat setting on too ☺️
