I'm 2 months into zoladex treatment and the main thing I've noticed is increased appetite! I'm now always so hungry and I'm eating way more than I did before. A dinner that would previously fill me up doesn't, and I even wake up in the middle of the night hungry which didn't happen before.
I'm also craving sugar and doing badly at resisting cravings. A few days ago I ate half a packet of ice cream sprinkles (without any ice cream) that had a best before date of 2019! I didn't have anything else sweet in the house, and that's how long they'd been sitting in the pantry for...
Has anyone else experienced this?? It's not a side effect I was expecting. I'm worried about the weight gain, and I'm also wondering if I'm going crazy somehow or just being greedy.
If you did experience something similar do you have any tips?

According to my doctor these drugs alter the dopamine in the brain around the food and reward system so you aren't going mad. I'm on provera and have put 16 pounds on in 6 weeks. You think about food all the time. I'm snacking and don't seem to have any will power. I do think KNOWING this helps as you can use mindfulness to remind yourself that you are not hungry which I am trying to do. I put a note in my fridge to tell Mr to stop it 😆. Ask yourself "am I hungry enough to eat an apple?" If not, back away. Stay away from sugar and white flower which become addictive especially wheat which really gets a hold of me and makes me flat the next day. If I coukd stop hemorrhaging I'd exercise more but it's a nightmare being hungry on synthetic hormones and just watching the scale go up and up. Good luck x
