Hi not sure if this could be due to my endo but every morning I wake up in so much pain with my back it's like I can't move a muscle at all like I'm stiff as a board at the bottom of my back my endo is around my bladder and bowels so not sure if it could be due to that does anyone else get really bad back ache when they first wake up? And if so what do you do for it or take for it I'm on my daily medication of pain meds but it's agony first thing In morning thankyou

Hello! I’m currently in the stages of being diagnosed with endo (diagnosed by the consultant as having it but awaiting official confirmation from upcoming tests) and I completely agree with the lower back pain being worse in the morning! I’m not sure about yourself but mine is relieved slightly on standing up first thing in the morning, do you feel the pain very low in your back almost in your coccyx region? This is what I’ve been experiencing of late and it’s driving me mad sometimes it’s excruciating and I can only describe it as a scratching/burning type pain. Sending lots of love 🧡

Definitely not alone, sometimes it helps just knowing others are experiencing similar things, it’s certainly stopped me from feeling so isolated - hoping you find some relief soon, I’ve just purchased a Tens machine this morning online I’m not sure if you have one already or if you’ve tried it but Boots have some bargains on their own brand one for Black Friday so I’m hoping this will help 🧡

Hi, i have stage 4 endo and adeno. The pain you are describing is true and the way I explain it is like a bag of sand is sitting above your coxy and when you trying to move is impossible. Once you get up and as I say get going it gets better.

I have found 3 things to help1) magnesium the night before

2) sleeping with a thin pillow between my legs to ease pressure

3) stretching hamstring on regular basis

During ovulation and pre period it get worse.

It is not terrible as I can not have a lie in as need to get up in order to cope with the pain and as a way of pain management.

Hope this helps

Hi Lilly, I have the same problem. I would highly recommend a portable Tens mahhine. Put the sticky pads in your back and it gives you mild shocks to reduce the pain, I would be lost without mine.

Hi ladies!

I had a lap and had the ‘extensive Endo’ lasered and zapped off but it was on my bowel and bladder and I wondered if it was the scarring that was causing me such pain. My back is so painful (all through the night sometimes) especially in the morning but I also get the pulling and twisting feeling in my tummy. Consultant says well it must be your back now because you had the lap. But he was that one who told me I definitely didn’t have endo and just had a bad back until I pushed for a lap and my left ovary was stuck to my back ligament (amongst other things). So I don’t have a lot of faith in him! Am seeing a chiropractor but it’s not helping so far. I’m sorry we’re all going through this but glad I’m not alone! Will try magnesium!! Hope you find some relief too xxx

Hi Lily! I can't confirm my pain is endo as I am yet to be officially diagnosed, however i think i experience very similar pain to you in the mornings! It's not every morning but quite regular. It is in my very lower back and kind of wraps around my waist. It is excruciating and hurts a lot when i take a breath in, i'm not able to lie down any longer and have to get out of bed. I never even thought this could be related to endo, so it would make sense!

Yes as soon as I wake up and feel it I have to get out of bed as soon as possible as its so painful it's like I'm paralysed some mornings it's absolutely awful
