So I have been having this pain for months I have been prescribed pain killers for the pain very strong ones, the pain in my abdomen hurts it effecting me walking, anything my stomach swells and my body turns boiling and this pain comes on and off through each month but more around the time I am due on.. the pain is getting ridiculously intense to where I am in tears and even painkillers don’t work.. the doctors found cysts on my ovaries so we’re convinced it was pcos but it’s not as that’s been cleared, they now assuming it’s endometriosis

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It sounds very similar to my pain symptoms. Hot water bottles are an amazing and cheap pain relief. I always have some kind of heat pack near by. Have a look for YuYu bottles. xx

Hi,

I've had endo for years, been on and of treatment for it also. Currently 39 and still trying to conceive again 20 years on. 1 month ago I started to get severe right sided abdo pain which caused me difficulty walking and urinating. I've been going to the toilet more often since then to. My Dr tells me it's my endo progressing and although I had it on my bladder years ago , she thinks its now starting to irritate it. I'm on daily cocodamol ,naproxin, and take gabapentin too. My sciatic nerves are very irritated especially at night in bed. So much so I spend more time tossing and turning then sleeping. I have constant lower back pain too. On my period I start taking tramadol 2 days prior or I'm unable to function plus the naproxin and gabapentin. I was told to take a different neuropathic pain med (I forgot the name) it does not work as well for me. Also have pcos , a few cysts on each ovary, but they won't remove them as I've had several ops on them already and they are concerned it will affect their function.. it seems no natter what I do ,I'm in a catch 22 situation. So it's a life of psin meds. If the pain gets any worse ,I'll be back to drs to get something stronger. What painkillers are you taking?

Hi there. Sorry to hear you're going through all this. It might be worth checking out the Candida diet. I did it several years ago and whilst it didn't get rid of my endo pain, it did completely change the bloating and temperature issues, amongst other things. There are various candida questionnaires online that you could check through to see if it might help. I'd also recommend a tens machine in the meantime for your pain as an extra help. You can also ask to be referred to a pain clinic. I hope the pain abates for you and that you feel better soon. xx
