She really should see a GP and a referral to gynae. GP should arrange a scan. If it’s a telephone call at least you can have the phone on speaker. There are gynae that specialise in younger women. Hope she can get some help very soon. Don’t be put off by covid, they are still there being paid to help.

We ve been through gyno, gastro, urology, GP, called ambulance a few time, ended up at A&E as well.the docs say its not gyno, not urological, not gastro. They r literally playing fotbaľ with us!i am on the phone since a year. She had 2 ultrasound all ok apparently, bloodtest, urine test all ok apparently. She is bloated 24/7, no gluten free diet, no FODMAP help. Now i am literally chasinv a CT scan or MMR its unbelievable How no one listens and they put it to stress and IBS.Yeah right. She hasnt had period since a year and its not gyno apparently, so what the hell is it then. They keep talking paracetamol and painkillers the time its just ridiculous !!!!

I completely get where you are coming from, I’m in a similar position, endo confirmed, and rectovaginal endo to boot and still having to go through gastro again. I’m convinced I still have adhesions and gynae can’t confirm it and he’s an endo specialist. I have started a complaint, he’s made no notes about treating endo elsewhere alongside a hysterectomy.

To me it can only be gynae, it has to be obvious. Pretty weird if it isn’t with period issues. Is there a teenage specialist that treats endo around where you are? You’d have to look them up on the hospital and then check them out on where they treat privately, usually more info.

If you can afford a private consult they can be very useful.

Look up local BSGE centres (these are not foolproof though) The first gynae I saw treated me better than the specialist, and I know he deals with teenagers.

MRI is better than CT, although none of them can pick up endo that well, deep endo can sometimes. The only real way to confirm endo

In the meantime what the GP can do is a better blood test, hormone levels, some autoimmune, vitamin D, B vits, and coeliac, they hate all of those, but don’t let that bother you, you may need to be firm, they have a responsibility which they aren’t fulfilling. The GMC site has info on what a GP should be doing.

What painkillers is she on?

This must be so stressful for you? Do you have period issues?

Thanksfor the reply.depends -sometimes paracetamol, ibuprofen but her main thing is bloating .but gyno says it’s not her problem even my daughter hasn’t had period since a year.she thinks it’s gastro related and gastro said it’s no them 😡it’s ridiculous how they treat us literally like a ping pong ball and no answers.no proper in depth investigation nothing just assuming and suggesting diet and painkillers.i feel I know more than them by now.i am thinking to make a complaint but that ll take ages again and I want answers and solutions after a year and not complains tbh.i went for a private scan too but I didn’t feel the gyno knew what was she looking at all so don’t trust private clinics that much .i am pushing for an MMR as I know they r all missing something and trying to get rid.

It’s appalling, definitely need a different gynae. How can periods not be her field 🤦‍♀️Whereabouts are you? We can’t name surgeons/hospitals directly on the site.If you have a look through guidelines, non of them are doing patient care, so GMC and gynae society. It’s easier to make a complaint when you can back it up, they take it more seriously. Also note what you want to happen. I’ve been on the phone to them twice this week, today because the consultant is now saying he checked everywhere even though that isn’t in any op notes 🙄

Worth doing, also GP should be doing much more.

Diet can help some, if you search the site there are lots of stories, but doesn’t work for everyone.

I’ve put a link on the forum to a webinar. The webinar was last week, endo and pain, but there are some interesting discoveries with their research.

Thanks for reply. We r in Oxford.Called them today again as the gynaecologist wouldn’t discuss anything with me as I was at work.so now requesting another app🤦‍♀️So she can talk to mzdy daughter again directly.its ridiciculous as the girl is in pain and her app might be in the end of March just cos no ond said my daughter needs to be with me.She thinks its gastro related even the missing period🤦‍♀️Called gastro again and am requestimg an MMR as i am sure we r all missing something and the ultrasounds r not so precise. My GP doesnt want to know anymore as i am pesterimg her, tried another GP and he did a hormonal test for her but he doesnt want to know more as my first GP is His collegue so he keeps pushing me away.My GP said i have to contact all the specislist myself if i want an MMR so i am back to the specialist and they dont want to know and keep saying its not výnosy or urological but its gastro.Gastro gave me a final decision its not gastro related. So i am back to gastro as the gynecologist and the urologist r saying its Nothing to do with them🤦‍♀️And my girls is suffering since a year!!!we r slightly loosing it.I dont show any emotions as i dont want her to feel completaly helpless as she believes i ll sort it somehow but i honestly dont know How anymore.I bought half of the Holland &Barret stuff against bloating, and tried Buscopan etc. You name it, we tried everything

Oxford is supposed to be good, used to live in Woodstock. They apparently have a good endo department. I think. Tell gynae you think endo and insist they do more ASAP, she can’t continue like this. GP’s also talking BS as they certainly can help and arrange scans. They are doing this as if they do a referral it comes out of their budget, if hospital does it, they foot the cost out of theirs. You have justification for complaining to the surgery and ask if this is based on budget in comparison with a teenager suffering each day. Might make them think. Plus GMC 😂 they may start to jump.

Let us know how it goes

I deal with all these problems too , doctors keep saying it's nothing and I'm only on the pill now to help prevent apparently . I think myself it's endometriosis so thinking she's the same , I've been on all sorts of meds was on 14 tablets a day at a time and nothing work doctors out everything down to tablets would help so just put me on everything , been waiting a year for gyni and in and out of hospital nearly every month were they just put me on morphine and send me home it's a complete joke but I'd say just keep ringing and ringing until they do something .
