Sinus issues and endo?

Hi ladies I’m just interested to hear if anyone suffers with sinus issues? I thought it could have been from breaking my nose when I was 20 but after ENT checking with a camera they said it was clear. For the past 7 years I’ve had several flares of sinusitis but the main thing is that every single day my nose is snuffy and blocked and I sound like I have a cold all of the time. I came across an article about inflammation from endo and how it can affect other areas of the body like the sinuses, and was interested to see if anyone else experiences this? They’re probably not related I was just curious! X

Had sinus issues for donkeys years. Haven’t read that, but plausible. I’ve found recently that coconut oil on a cotton bud has helped. Also the sinus rinse. Had a little improvement leaving out nightshade family, but couldn’t keep it up. You might be at a stage that antibiotics would help. Are you getting headaches?

Ah really how interesting! I currently use the sterimar nasal spray but it doesn’t massively help. Neither do allergy tablets. I’ve had to have antibiotics in the past when it’s got really bad but the main issue is just the daily snuffy feeling which I don’t think is bad enough for antibiotics it’s more of an annoyance constantly feeling blocked! Yeah I get a lot of headaches xx

Strange question but do you snore?I used to wake up with bad headaches, snored for years. Did a sleep apnoea test in 2019 and issued a CPAP, no more headaches and nose better, gets dry, but nothing like it used to be and haven’t had antibiotics for sinus.

There is an American dr who’s suggested a link with endo

Are you on the pill? I found the more progesterone I had the worse my sinuses were, I had sinus infections constantly til I stopped taking it!

I have suffered with my sinuses since my twenties, constantly using nasal spray, sinus washes. Headaches have got a lot better with my diet changes but still always congested, puffy face & constantly clearing my throat of a night. Which interrupts my sleep along with different pains 🙈

I get this really bad! Tried every nasal spray under the sun.

I saw ENT a couple of years ago and he said its not my sinuses, the scan was clear.

Ive struggled on again and it seems to be getting worse, I'm speaking the ENT AGAIN next week!

I'm also getting a CT scan of my lungs to see if any endo shows up, Im wondering if I have chest endo so that might affect my nose or could the endo possibly travel to the nasal area?

Who knows xx

I’ve never made the connection until now but have read about it, I also get really bad shoulder pains which radiates down my arm. Currently sat with a wheat bag on and had to take codeine, so weird. Makes me wonder if they’re all linked xxx

Yep, I think nose & sinuses are an issue for me. For maybe 20 years I have had monthly nosebleeds (thankfully minor, but still embarrassing) and for the last few years I get cold symptoms like sneezing and blocked nose for a couple of days around my period.

I did have a chest MRI a couple of years ago (I sometimes cough up blood but I was and still am convinced it's just from my nose) but that was all clear and the specialist didn't seem interested in investigating or helping these nasal symptoms beyond that MRI. Strangely one side is much worse than the other...

Same one side is worse for me as well! It’s so annoying not know whether it’s linked or not but my gut says yes xx

Yes every month I get an awful sinus headache and stuffing for at least 4 days when I have an endo flare up. It's an excruciating headache along with my cramps.
