In pain 😞😞

Struggling I am allergic to NAIDS a group of meds that used to help me combat my pain I am still not diagnosed with endo but I was sick last night and struggled so much with little help but a hot water bottle and paracetamol it was awful all the docs are saying is I have to wait till gyno 😭😭😭such an awful world we live in right now any advice on pain relief most welcomed

Could you go down a natural route with vitamins and diet please look at my old posts around 7-8 months ago I have info on this approach hope you feel better soon

Trying oils as of right now but I just feel like it’s calming me down less anxiety around my pain but still not a replacement for my previous meds I take cocodomal and paracetamol now x

Are you allergic to opioids? I have been given dihydocodine for the pain. That may be an option for you x

Can’t see i have tried this hun no one will listen to me and i was in hospital from my reaction I took those meds since I was 16 so no wonder I am now 22 and sick of this shit

Contact your GP. Also, can you take: Ibruffen which helps with inflammation, often a symptom of endo. regards, Della xx

Ask your GP to help you. If you are allergic to medication that goes through your stomach, there is medication that does not go through the stomach. See your GP. Della xx

Yeah thank you yes unfortunately I am in fact. Allergic I can only take paracetamol / cocodamol my gp has done nothing but say there is lack of options left and I just need to cope

You can’t live in this pain, there must be something your GP can give you. I take naproxen and ibuprofen together when I feel pain, then if that doesn’t work it’s tramadol which I believe you can’t take. I think all of use who have a referral to gynaecology will be waiting a while so you definitely need some form of pain relief to help you 💗 x

Naproxen and ibuprofen are both anti inflammatory tablets also known as naids. You shouldn't be taking both of them together. Tramadol aren't an anti inflammatory. 💛

I'm very surprised that your gp said that. I can't take any anti inflammatory tablets but know they are both anti inflammatory tablets and I've just Googled it just to make sure and it's not recommended to take both. They can cause stomach ulcers and other stomach problems. X

I suggest that you stop taking one of them. The naproxen is a stronger anti inflammatory and will help with pain better than ibuprofen brought from a chemist/shop. I also think you should contact your Dr's surgery and ask to speak to another doctor and see what they say. I'm sorry if I seemed a bit harsh with my first reply i just don't want you to end up in more pain because as I said they can cause stomach problems,that's why I can't take them because I have had stomach ulcers in the past. I hope you get it sorted out.💛

Hello no not at all I didn’t think you were being harsh 😍glad to get advice on here tbh. I take naproxen most days, it wasn’t my usual GP who told me to take these 2 tablets together. My own GP is much better thank goodness. How are you feeling today? X

Please be careful lovely. I ended up with chronic kidney disease from regular use of naproxen and ibuprofen. I alternated them. And didnt take daily, just on bad days. Ended up finding I nsaid induced kidney disease after a lot of investigation from a kidney specialist. Don't want to frighten you, just a warning. They definitely shouldn't be taken around the same time. Your GP should know this. Just a heads up.

Ask them for opioids if your allergic to anti inflammatories they must be able to give you something coco domol keep nagging don't let them leave you in pain. Do try to cut inflammation from your diet it will take time but can help also. But seriously stay on their back they have To give you something hun xx

Well tbh it’s not good I eat a meal and I am at the loo 3 4 times with intense pain and anxiety and ya when that hapends I need to mange the pain in terms of diet I am strugling even eating anything been so depressed and ya just not been great I have gastritis caused by meds in the past and along with that and my IBS it’s a nightmare trying to eat better but even then still strugling but seems to just be monthly and my bowel habits are so much worse 😭 bleeding and also just intensity

Ask GP about Nefopam, it’s non opiate, they tend to avoid it just because it’s more expensive than opiates. It can work quite well. There are also things like Amitriptyline, and others, for nerve pain.

Yep, been there, so many have with this. Your GP still has a duty of care and you not being in pain is one of them. If you do go back to GP let us know how you get on.

I also can’t take ibufron due to asthma, but have been prescribed some co codamol from the gp. It’s a lot stronger than the usual one from like boots etc. Hope that helps! X

Try a TENS machine if you haven't already. Someone on here mentioned a wireless one with a heat setting, which sounds good. Mine is a duel channel with wires, just a basic one from Superdrug, but it does help.

Definitely speak to your GP about your meds - are you definitely allergic? Have they run tests/ what were your symptoms?

Not tests run but yes my throught swelled up was on oxogen and itched for days burning scalp
