Hello everyone

I’m currently on the waiting list for my second Lap within a year.

Due to Covid please can someone inform me if none emergency Operations have been put on hold? Xx

I very much hope not! I’m waiting for date for second op as well, secretary last week said she’d get back to me this week.

I really don’t think they could do it again. For me this is getting to be more emergency than not

Thank you for replying. This is becoming harder everyday for me to deal with as my symptoms are progressing.

Form the result of my MRI my bowel is stuck to my uterus again and endo in other places.

I feel for every signal female that suffers with this horrendous disease.

Sorted out paperwork earlier, bending up and down has killed me. 10 ml Oramorph has done nothing.

Yeah I’m like that with my back to, I’m currently taking 60mg Codeine and Paracetamol and 5lm of Oramorph if that doesn’t help and sometimes at my worse that doesn’t help either. Xx

If I don’t move I’m fine 🤣. Best time is the few minutes after waking and getting up, I feel normal....

I don’t think so - I think they’re trying to keep going as much as they can, provided cases aren’t rife in the hospital I guess. I’m on the ‘urgent’ list for my second lap and have been told it’s 3-6 month wait ‘subject to Covid’

I’ve been on the waiting list since August, they have been awaiting information from my last consultant because in my report it states that I have been fitted with stents but no follow up to have them removed🤔

I was hoping to have my Op before Xmas🤞🏼 I’m also on the cancellation list for short notice.

I assume you are under a specialist endo centre? Just be careful with cancellations as we are finding that admin at hospitals has sometimes been offering cancellations in secondary care with surgeons who wouldn't be suitably qualified. Be sure it would be a cancellation on the endo centre list.

Hey!

I think it depends on the area... I had a suspect cyst which needed an urgent MRI which I had done within 2 weeks, everything came back fine but was offered a date for surgery the same day I got the results & surgery was 9 days later. I hope you are not waiting too long & things go well xx

I’ve just got home from having a lap on Monday, I didn’t feel scared or worried about Covid in the slightest . It felt like a regular hospital stay really, they found a mass left behind from my hysterectomy which they think is ovarian remnant

No plans at the hospital to cancel any operations up and coming either or any emergency ones.

Ps :Call them up every week, keep telling them you would do a cancellation and are you on the cancellation list, Make them rememe you name,

I’ve been waiting for my surgery since February and have been told it could be 41 weeks. I’m waiting for a full hysterectomy for adeno and endometriosis and also have bowel loops caused by adhesions and a large cyst . You do start to wonder what else is going wrong in there in the mean time!

I believe they have. I am also on the waiting list to have a third Laproscopy! I am taking pain killers to ease the pain and use my hot water bottle at night! Hard times but sadly we are not seen as a priority during this pandemic 😷

I had my op a couple of weeks ago, they are apparently nearly back up to pre covid ops per day so hopefully shouldn't be too long xx

It depends on where you live. I'm on local lockdown in Wales and I'm urgent list but only operating on cancer patients 😔 so back on hold. I've written to my MP as I've had enough covid or not I dont think they are getting the pain we deal with. Hopefully yours wont be though. I know some people are still having theirs in other areas of England.

I’m so sorry to hear to are in so much pain and having to wait once again for you OP. You are definitely correct about them not understanding what is women with endometriosis have to go through on a day to day basis and have I affects us.

Hi, they are still doing these ops at the moment.

I have my first exploratory laparoscapy on Wednesday which has been arranged since the whole Covid situation. Fingers crossed that you will get an apt through soon!
