Staple removal
I had staples removed from my neck and they only take out a couple to start to make sure the wound is healing then take the rest out. They snip them in half. Mine were easier than any stitches I had to be removed. 😊
Hello I had a load of staples removed last week from my abdomen had a open hysterectomy doesn't Hurt some may pinch if there covered by a scab but not painful xx
And yes they only took half mine out had to go back 2 days ltr 4 rest out xx
Same as above! I had 27 in my abdomen and I was terrified about getting them removed. Turns out it was no big deal. They snipped the middle and pulled them out. Most almost tickled coming out. Just a tiny pinch if there was a scab connected. The bad part was my constant fear that I would open up again. (Spoiler alert...I was totally fine.) They did put a bunch of steri strips over my incision just for extra measure, so that was comforting.
When I had my first surgery the nurses were so kind and gentle when it came to removing the staples. It was taking ages, so because I’m impatient 😂 I asked if I could try for myself. My wound was healing well so they let me ‘have a go’, under their supervision! The only ‘pain’ I had was where scabs had formed and honestly that was more discomfort than pain. You’ll be fine 😊 x
