Breakfast

Gluten free porridge with banana ,raisins and a spoon of turmeric and spoon of peanut butter

Sweet potato porridge

Scrambled eggs

Homemade Gluten free pancakes with pilchards

Dinner

*smoked Mackerel brown rice, fried onions and peppers in olive oil

*Sea bass green beans and broccoli

*Cauliflower rice with broccoli

*Organic chicken pieces with mashed potato vegetables and gluten free gravy made from stock cube and vegetable broth.(Sunday dinner version)

*Sardines on gluten free toast (treat breakfast)

*pan fried roast potato’s with herbs and vegetables

*homemade potato curry and brown rice organic preferably

*lentil curry

*Organic eggs with spinach and more greens

*Seasoned Haddock and homemade chips lightly sprinkled with Olivia oil and salt

Treats (I’m a savoury kind of gal)

Gluten free porridge honey and peanut butter balls

Feta cheese and rocket salad

Halloumi and rocket spinach salad

Hot drinks

Hot chocolate (cocoa powder organic )with almond milk and honey

Green tea

Ginger tea

Any herbal teas

Decaf tea with almond milk

No fried or processed food is used in the endometriosis diet if processed is used it will be a treat lunch and very small portions

Red meat ❌❌

Pork is a red meat!!

Bacon is red !

Mince is red!

Beef is red!

White meat organic or very very small portion.

Treat processed foods

Gluten free bread

Gluten free pasta

Great thread idea! Here are a few of my endo friendly favourites...

Breakfast

Omelette with lots of veggies

Breakfast risotto (basically risotto rice with dairy free milk, apple juice and diced apple, in slow cooker overnight)

Potato fritters and dip

Gluten free bagel with houmous / coconut cream cheese

Dinner

Vegan chilli and rice (from Vegan Richa website)

Cauliflower tikka masala (same website)

Red lentil keema (same)

Salmon with pesto and pine nuts, served with giant cous cous and watercress (from one pain Cook book)

Chilli broccoli and orzo pasta recipe (from one pan book)

Beans, quinoa and peppers in coconut milk (from One Part Plant cook book)

Mmmm I like your ideas!

What about:

* boil and then mash potatoes and sweat potatoes, add a bit of almond milk and, if you can, a bit of butter. I find it a very comforting dish.

* Chicken risotto

*vegetarian risotto (green peas, onions, leaks, carrots, etc)

* gluten free muffins

* Pasta alla gricia: fry onions, leaks, then add either broccoli or spinach, olives (if you want), add a bit of water or the hot water from the spaghetti once nearly cooked, add coconut cream. At the same time cook some gluten free spaghetti and then add them to the mix. If you want and if you can, you could add some chicken or some pancetta.

* Home made pizza with gluten free puff pastry, passata and vegs of your choice

* Rice and quinoa boiled together, sometimes with grean peas, green beans. Once it has cooled down you can add any salad of your choice with either vegan mayo or normal mayo.

* gluten free pasta with green peas and tuna mayonnaise/vegan mayonaise

* you can also make an Indian korma by adding coconut cream

* Mango sorbet: mash a fresh mango, put it in a box/container and then in the freezer.

* to make whipped cream: put a tin of coconut milk in the fridge, leave it overnight or several days. The day you need it, empty the block of coconut milk only (drain the liquid) in a dish and then whisk it with a bit of icing sugar then you can add some frozen berries, banana, any fruit of your choice or maybe incorporate it to a pavlova.

*Polenta and pistachio cake: the recipe is online, it's really yummy!

No, I use gluten free puff pastry, it's really nice! You could use goat cheese, caramelised red onion, etc 😊

We usually find it in the chilled area for the free from products in all the major UK supermarkets . 😊

I like your ideas. But I have eggs very sparingly as my tummy reacts to pure eggs such as in omelettes, I am fine with eggs in cakes however :)

No, it's the same with organic eggs. I can have eggs/omelette from time to time, which I do but knowing that there will be some consequences... 🙄

Aww bless you! I had trouble figuring out if my body was responding negatively to eggs for a long time I always felt sick after eating them and found out it’s something to do with hormones in them but organic are raised differently so my body seems to be better with those and I don’t feel sick.ive spent a lot of time on and off with eggs in my life.

I haven’t got any 🐣😔my partner got me one but I said it’s not gluten free nor dark chocolate so gave it away lol I told him you know better than that lol he said I’ll be ok but I darent risk it lol I already had a gluten wheat based Easter muffin .it’s hard cause I buy seperate food for me and the rest of the family can happily have gluten. I get jealous of all the nice stuff they eat lol especially chicken wings I ❤️Them but I don’t eat much chicken unless it’s organic I can never get hold of organic chicken wings.

I totally understand, it's tough at times. To be honest, I am quite happy not to have a chocolate egg, the kids had their. I was not brought up with that tradition, so it really doesn't bother me. I have very dark chocolate or vegan chocolate, so I am not deprived of chocolate. We made today a Victoria sponge gluten free (with eggs and I am ok) and whipped coconut cream and strawberries for all of us. It was really nice. Yes, I do miss sweets, like yoghurts, cream choc or caramel pots sometimes and comfort myself with hot chocolate made with coconut milk... There is much worse. Like you, it keeps my weight stable, although it wasn't intended that way and I would prefer to eat more normal food, I miss fresh bread. I have tried to have it back and my stomach went into flare mode, so I had no choice but to stop. I am fine with chicken, but understand how tough it is. I didn't stop eating meat as I need to be careful with anaemia and even if I know my tummy is not over impressed, my tummy can handle it. I have meat only once a day, unless we cook a veggie meal. My diet is included in the family meals, as otherwise, it would be too taxing mentally for me to feel excluded from the family meals. It was already tough enough for me to deal with this new medical condition with no medical help and try to find a way to reduce the pain. If you want, I can explain to you how we have organised our meals as a family. x😊

I don’t really mind not having a egg as I just buy chocolate when I want it just excuse to eat unhealthy lol I had a few of my kids mini eggs but just a few hopefully I’ll be ok.my food Bill is getting really high at the moment especially with this virus about I don’t always find my food and have gone without some things.my family is so hard to please food wise I’m trying to get my daughter to eat more vegetables none of them eat fish or eggs they love sausages and chicken anything with gluten lol if I buy grapes for myself whole family eats so I end up buying more like 4 packs every 3 days And it can add up .

I do sympathise with the grapes situation! 😢 Do they like pasta? Pasta with pesto and broccoli and a bit of cheese, Cook pasta and broccoli together, then add the pesto and cheese. They have their pasta and you cook your gluten free pasta separately. You can add pesto and your vegan cheese to yours. It's a quick meal, very yummy and kids will love it. You can have the same meal as your family. ♥️

My kids are so fussy my youngest Dosent like broccoli they don’t like pesto either such a fussy bunch lol

Hi sorry to jump on this thread half way through but I am super fed up at the moment as my endo symptoms have been really bad (despite excision surgery 2 months ago) and I feel like I need to take drastic action to take control of my body and my symptoms.

The gist I’ve got from the thread is that gluten is bad, red meat is bad, and dairy is bad? I’ve had quite a lot of chocolate the last few days with it being Easter (plus I’m a chocolate fiend anyway) and I have noticed a reaction a day or so later after. Is it the dairy or the sugar that sets endo off?

Sorry for all the questions, I’m just really really fed up of feeling poorly and sore all the time 😔 xx

I think you may have had a sugar rush being Easter you can have chocolate but I’d go for darker varieties and 80% cocoa sugar very much sets of endo I got up feeling hungover this morning having not had a drop to drink I can only put it down to the amount of hot chocolate I had smothered in honey I did realise I put too much honey in someone who Dosent eat much sugar then binges on it is in for a treat the next day and not a good one lol

Ah I thought that may have been the case! I’ve also noticed that I can need to suddenly rush to the loo if I have bread / granola so would that likely be the gluten? Or the dairy of the butter / yogurt? Again, sorry for so many questions 🙈

A lot of people have bowl issues with endo following the endo diet helps a lot of people with symptoms so if you react to something I would definitely cut it out and start a food diary so you can see your triggers it’s hard but you can get used to it.im more or less pain free now since using food and supplements to treat my endo if you follow my posts I have some which may be very informative to you.so to answer your question yes cut out gluten and diary use alternatives x

I've really been enjoying chocolate chia seed pudding for breakfast recently but it could be used as dessert to- great for fibre and anti-inflammatory omega 3:

1 tbsp cocoa powder

Up to 1 tbsp maple syrup (or honey) adjust to your taste.

150ml dairy free milk

30g chia seeds.

Make a paste of the Coco powder and a little milk. Mix in your sweeter of choice, the seeds and the rest of the milk. Soak overnight in the fridge to allow to swell. Top with raspberries or blueberries and enjoy!
