Hi guys! I need some help my operation has been pushed back to god knows when, I am in so much pain I can barley move and I’ve run out of heat pads! Any recommendations on pain relief please 😭

What op are you going for?

I take codeine for pain as it takes the edge off, you can still phone the GP and ask for a prescription 😀hope it eases soon x

Tens machine (got one from Lloyd’s Pharmacy), hot water bottle, Tiger Balm. Or ask for some stronger pain relief from GP too. They’re still seeing people who don’t have symptoms of the C word (or they are where I live anyway). Hope you get your surgery asap- think there’s loads in the same place just now which totally sucks 💖💖💖

Have a hot bath, dress warmly with socks a thick tracksuit and a cold body makes the pain worse, the best quick fix would be to try an anti-inflammatory diet as soon as you can.

If you can get some ginger supplements, I would suggest taking 500mg in the morning and 500mg in the evening.

If you can get a voltarol suppository , take one, it lasts for 12 hours and the pain relief takes 10mins, just try to keep it inside for 30 mins for it to absorb without passing stool. You can get it without prescription at a pharmacy
