Does anyone else suffer with this issue?

I was diagnosed with severe stage 4 endometriosis after a diagnostic lap in January. No Endo was removed as my bladder and bowel are bonded to my womb. I was supposed to be having an MRI scan on Tuesday but understandably this has been cancelled.

I have suffered with bowel and bladder issues for a couple years but usually around the time of my period or for a few days after this can include urinary retention, constipation or bowel urgency & bowel pain.

However this time my last period was 11th - roughly 17th March and for the last 24-48hrs I have been feeling the need to go for a wee but as soon as I start to wee I have a sensation/urge to stop and don’t feel I have emptied my bladder (sorry it’s a bit difficult to describe)

It isn’t like cystitis (I’ve has this once before) as there is no burning pain.

I am wondering if I have a bladder infection but I don’t want to waste doctors time given the current circumstances. I also have multiple sclerosis which I think affects my bladder but it’s hard to know what is MS and what is Endo.

Definitely get it checked out it doesn't sound right. I've never experienced it myself. I suppose it's better for your gp to try and help you than you ending up in hospital at the moment. Good luck xx

I had that. The feeling that you can only empty part of your bladder. When I told my gynaecologist he said it was common. I had mine removed Nov 2018. It was severe and my womb was attached to my bowel. Haven't had it since.

Have you been tested for Interstitial Cystitis? I was diagnosed with this at the same time as my Endometriosis diagnosis. Apparently it's quite common for both to be diagnosed.

I would contact your Gp. Ms does effect your bladder , spasms retention etc. Plus it could be a uti. But also my bladder reacts like this during my period , I just have endo . Take care and take safe x

Hi there. Yes I had this really badly. For 2 years I could hardly pee at times and on a couple of occasions had to be catheterised. They hoped it would be better after my endo op but it wasn’t I was referred to a bladder specialist. My tubes had shrunk (they think because of the impact of the endo - my bladder had shrunk too). I had an operation to widen the tubes. It hurt like hell and I pee’d blood for a couple of days after, but once through that it was sooooo much better. That was 2 years ago and at my last check up they could see that they’re narrowing again so I’m being operated on again soon (well as soon as COVID-19 crisis will allow). I’m happy with having it done every couple of years so that I don’t have the UTI symptoms and the constant anxiety and retention. Good luck!!
