Hi all!

This is a lot to ask so in sorry, I'm wondering if anyone could give me advice on anything to help!

I'm looking for foods to eat vitamins to take literally anything!

I've been getting severe hot flushes on top of everything else and I've been getting sent home from work from looking so ill.

What are the best ways to manage pain and hot flushes?

Also another question sorry! How have people coped with the mental impact? I seems to be going down a very dark hole as I'm in so much pain I'm not enjoying life and that's not to mention my hormones.

I've had a flare up for 4 weeks now and cant seem to see the end.

Thanks in advance everyone! X

Sorry to hear you’re going through this.

I’ve recently discovered Epsom salts which I put in the bath and soak in, and I find they are giving me some relief - probably not going to do much for your hot flushes mind!

I do like a trusty cup of peppermint tea, and in the summer I discovered CBD water which again gave me some relief.

I’m actually interested to see what others will say about hot flushes as I am struggling terribly with that and getting really bad nausea off the back of it.

We all have dark times with this and it’s so hard because it’s hard for others to understand. I have taken great comfort from this forum and the support of complete strangers!! Remember to be kind to yourself x

Thank you for your response! I will give the salts a go when my hormones calm down and the hot flushes start to ease of, can you believe you aren't allowed to open windows anymore in my workplace! Its causing me to nearly faint when I get a hot flush.

I've never heard of peppermint tea for it but I often try ginger tea to try and reduce sickness, I've always been weary with CBD but I feel this is also something I will have a go with.

I would like to thank you as your kind response has warmed my heart.

I hope all the best for you

X

Just to give you an idea with the CBD water, I buy it from Sainsbury’s for about £1.50 for 2 litres and that does me a week.

Only the anti inflammatory part of the plant is used, not the stuff that’s going to make you feel spaced out :) x

Hiya not sure about the flushes is that to do with menopause?by the by I use evening primrose, magnesium and vitamin b 6,zinc ,serrapetese for vitamins turmeric to stop inflammation of the body peppermint and green tea .grass fed meat only and eat lots of veggies to try and heal my gut I don’t eat wheat diary or too much sugar (limit of 2 pieces of chocolate a day in squares )also fruit helps with managing pain this is what I do for endometriosis the important thing tho is to limit stress and it’s my hardest target I’ve started listening to music to tackle this one and hot baths or hot water bottle

I think the hot flushes are due to hormone imbalance similar to what you would get with menopause however with being 18 I doubt this is the case even though it feels as though that is the case at times!

Thank you I will give this all a go! Could you direct me where to look for finding if meat is grass fed or not.

What fruits would you recommend? I've heard too much fructose is fruit can cause inflammation so I try to limit myself on this however it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

I try to limit stress however at current I am in the process of buying a house and my partners just become an uncle so things are quite hectic at current (also recently started a new job) I live with my hot water bottle however and find some relief from that, I have now invested in a heat pad for days I am bound to my bed so that I can still gain some relief.

I'd like to thank you for your response and fingers crossed at least some if not all will help at least a little.

I wish you all the best

X

I get my beef from Ocado it is a tad more expensive than usual beef but I have meat free days I’m so sorry you are suffering I’ve heard some people have menopausal medication with endo so perhaps your gp could help I think it’s called zoldex I could be wrong .you could also try the pill I guess if you don’t mind hormones to see if you get any relief a lot of people swear by diet but if I was you I would talk to my gp about the pain you can’t live like that I eat berries strawberries blueberries anything really grapes but I do have a lot of berries celery too and sweet potato I don’t eat bread at all as it’s gluten

I will start making a point of finding out before I buy meat, I'd rather pay a higher price if its going to help!

I've heard about those but I have also heard some bad effects of the drug so always been quite weary of it. I am on the slow release progesterone injections however there is not enough to counteract the estrogen so although it helps slightly I am still in mass amounts of pain along with other symptoms as it has developed on my bladder and bowels.

I will increase my berry intake, it will feel like a luxury diet as I haven't eaten much for a long time, I'm struggling to get food in so it would he a good way to get something on my stomach too

Hello love

How rubbish this awful world is :-( i completely get the mental side of things, it absolutely’ ruined’ my life for many years!

As for the hot flushes you could try an oestrogen gel. They worked really well for me. I just rubbed said amount into my arms and thighs and I eventually came off it. Most are natural and even organic I think. Worth looking into them like I said worked extremely well for me.

As for the pain side of things. If you can bare it, a vegan diet worked well for me (I couldn’t stick to it 100%) but now and then I go back to it as a detox knowing it’ll take the worst away. Again, it worked for me, may not be the case for everyone.

I’ve been a sufferer for over 20 years. Had 14 operations and a hysterectomy and I’m now worse than I was before. Wish I’d had never had any surgery and just stuck with the above interventions. Most people manage to find their ‘something’ that helps.

Don’t give up trying love and make sure work don’t push you around. Only you know if you feel capable.

Sending lots of positivity your way xx

Thank you for your response!

I'm hurting myself at times as I've bought a house to have a family in and I dont know yet if I can have a family which plays on my mind and even if I can I dont know if I could come off my contraceptive as although I'm very I'll I'm even worse off it Unbelievably!

Will the cream work as I dont have enough progesterone compared to oestrogen so Im scared to add anymore oestrogen.

I could go vegan, I was a veggie for a while and used soya milk as the doctors told me to cut out dairy when they were adamant it was IBS but then found soya made me worse, oat milk could be an option though!

I'm awaiting my referral but unfortunately I'm getting so bad with no sign of it fading that I'm quite eager for surgery.

Work are very good about it and tell me to go and leave early or just go home as I'm so flushed I go white with red blotches and I haven't slept properly in 4 weeks with my flare so I have serious bags! My issue is I don't want to go as I'm stubborn and dont want it affecting my life as my career may be all I have.

Can i ask if they used heat laser to get rid of this? I heard that method of surgery makes things worse but old style surgery can help.

I wish you all the best xx
