Post anterior resection - bowel movements

Evening all,

I had my anterior bowel resection surgery to remove my endo last Monday. I’ve been in hospital being very well looked after, pain hasn’t been too bad and each day I can do a little bit more. They took 10cm of my bowel in the end and my gynaecologist said he also got all of the endo in my womb area which is great news.

The only reason I can’t go home is because I haven’t passed a bowel movement. Has anyone experience anything similar? How long after bowel survey did you pass a stool? I just don’t have any desire to go I think my bowel is on strike!

Thanks in advance for any advice xx
