Problems with diagnosis

Hi all - I’m hoping you can help?

So for the last 18 months I have been visiting the doctors with pain internally when having sex, with in turn causes pain externally, issues with incontinence, bowel problems and bloating & cramping issues. I think it’s quite important to mention I don’t have period due to being on the depot injection but towards the point my injection is due (now) the pain is crippling.

I have now had swabs (clear) and an internal and external ultrasound (clear) and been back to the doctors this morning and she said “because you have external pain I would suggest it’s not endo” but she has referred me to gynaecology but not an endo specialist - my question is has anyone had this and how long did it take to be referred to an endo specialist?

It’s driving me mad and having a sever effect on mine and my partners relationship as sex is far too painful!

By external pain do you mean pain in your genitals? This can actually also be a symptom of endo, swelling and pain in the vulva or external genitals but it's not discussed a lot so not a lot of people know about it.
