I always suffered with extremely bad periods when i was younger so was put on different birth controls to stop me having them. I am now 27 and since october have been in awful pain.
I was admitted to hospital for 2 weeks where they assumed it was due to a twisted bowel, i also have scar tissue on my bowel (not sure why).
So after my hospital stint and further tests, colonoscopy etc they ruled the gut out.
I had a laparoscopy just over 2 weeks ago, where they did find endo and cut what they found out. My surgeon pulled a bit of a face when he said there wasnt much there due to my pain being so intense.
Could he of missed some with a laparoscopy? Could my scar tissue on my bowel be caused by this? Would he of seen it there through a laparoscopy? I am so full of questions but not seeing him for a futher 2 months which is very frustrating.
Has the surgery helped you? I would like to go back to being able to go to work, holiday, sex etc it just doesnt seem like its going to happen!!
Sorry for the long post, im full of questions and want to know all the information i can. Thank you x

I have had two laparoscopies, waiting on my third. Yes they did help and life went back to normal for a while. Unfortunately, for me, it keeps coming back so every couple of years the pain increases and I get referred back to gynocology. Have you tried calling the endometriosis helpline? They may be able to help, if not just openly talking about your frustrations to people who can empathise may help. Write all your questions down and take them with you to your appointment. Have you tried your GP as they will get a report of the laparoscopy findings and may be able to answer some of your questions? Good luck 🍀
I’ve had two laps and neither have helped me. I’m waiting to have my ovary removed now ....
In terms of the pain and the little endo. I was told you could be covered with endo and have no idea, or have a spot or two and lots of pain - there’s no correlation.
