Endo pain... help please.

Hi, I’m hoping someone can put my mind at ease.... I had a laparotomy 9 weeks ago, for a 9cm cyst on my ovary. This week I’m having pains in my groin, hip area (left side). It’s tender to touch and much worse in the evenings and night (sure that’s because endo knows I can’t see a doctor then). My gp isn’t great either.

Anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening or what I can do? A hot bath helps for about an hour, but I can’t live in the bath.

I try to be positive about things but it’s getting harder. Xx

Sorry to hear how much you're suffering. Have you got some decent painkillers? You say the bath helps, so a hot water bottle or a wheat bag might provide some relief without you turning into a mermaid. I find CBD oil and balm really helpful but you need to build up the oil slowly. Maybe peppermint tea or capsules to take down any bloating that might be making you feel worse. A 9cm cyst is fairly large so I'd imagine your ovary and the surrounding area are still healing. I had a 2cm one removed around the same time as you through a laparoscopy, so much less traumatic and I still get sharp pains. Always in the evening as well! Xx

Thanks, I might try CBD oil again. Try not to take painkillers if I can, I have a poorly kidney and hypothyroidism... just to add to it😊

I try hot water bottles but as soon as it starts to cool down it’s painful again, even got a heated electric blanket wrapped round my middle to help sleep.

Saw a different doctor today who said I have to more patient with my body to let it heal. I do get it needs time and it’s been through hell and back but it’s 9 weeks- it needs to just get on with it... I want to get back to living and being able to drive and go to work. I guess I’m learning I’m not as patient as I thought I was 😂 😂
