Tranexamic Acid?

I have been given this by the doctors today, I take it and half an hour later I seem to be really sleepy and out of it.

Anyone else experience this whilst on the meds?

I found tranaxemic acid was similar for me, made me feel really sick too and didn't do much pain/bleeding wise x

Hey, I was the same as well it made me feel really tired and like kate24601 said it made me feel really sick too and done nothing for the bleeding

I was on tranexamic acid from aged 12-30. It always made me feel sick but the benefits far outweighed those negatives. I only had to take them during my period but they gave me my life back for that week! I never felt fatigued on them but not so sure I would have noticed because I was always on them. I was on 4 a day. Two at night and two in the morning but it practically stopped my bleeding.

Hi, really sorry to hear this. I have been on T acid for a few years and I find it really helps. Are you making sure you take after food? Taking any pills on an empty stomach makes me feel sick and sleepy.

Still the best thing for me has been organic sanitary products - a massive help. X

Have done everything suggested. Taken it with food ect I’m on it to stop bleeding and pain and doesn’t seem to be working at all

The timing is what I found a challenge trying to start taking it before the period began. My Dr said to start it three days before it begun, worked really well for me my periods were two or three days long and really light....if I could time it right. Never found it made me sleepy though x

Yeah fair enough. Doesn’t seem to be doing anything for me apart from making me dizzy and crazy stupid tired

I took once tranexamic acid.I feel very sick like nausea, diarthoea etc but it stops heavy bkeeding.

Hasn’t stopped my bleeding or pain at all. Just makes me super sleepy and dizzy
