I had my laps on Friday (showed up nothing but that’s another concern). I was prepared for the co2 and I’ve been drinking peppermint tea like it’s going out of fashion.
But I have severe chest pain around my ribs to the point where it’s painful to breathe. I find myself having to take shallow breaths because a deep one sends me crippling.
It feels like someone has a belt tied around my ribs/lungs and every time I breathe in they tighten it and stab me - odd visual I know but maybe someone will recognise the pain?
Has anyone experienced this and has any advice?
The hospital gave me cocodomal and I can’t take any more for at least another few hours. I’ve called my doctors to make an appointment just in case but hoping someone here will have had it similar and will know how to better myself?
Please and thanks for any and all advice xx

I think everyone gets this to some extent, it's due to the gas they use to inflate your belly. I had it so badly I had a panic attack because I couldn't breathe. Just try and move around but take it really slowly. DO NOT sit up quickly! From my experience that makes it really bad. Moving around will help and it shouldn't last more than 3 days or so. Cocodamol didn't do anything to ease this for me.
