I'm still in a daze...feeling lost

Hello everyone,

I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo and possibly frozen pelvis about 5 months ago. I had what turned out to be an exploratory laparotomy, since I was told the doctor couldn't see the organs and did nothing further. I didn't even get to speak directly with the surgeon, since he was a visiting the island where I live, for only one week, and had to leave after the surgery. The other doctors, in whose care I was left, wouldn't provide me with much information So I still have a lot of unanswered questions. What ever little I do know is from research that I have done. I am 39 and would have like to have at least one child...but it seems that this is not likely to happen.

My experience with endo is that I have paifull periods which I try to manage with pain killers and rest. Some times are worst than others.

Then there are other random times during the month when I experience sharp pains if I even stand or walk around. Pelvic pains, shooting pains in the anus, vagina as well as lower back pains. This happens for about 5 days. I basically just try to cope the best I know how.

It helps to know that there is this community of women who share similar experiences. Thank you for sharing.

I hope someday soon to get some relief.

hi. That must be very frustrating not getting to see the surgeon. I have stage 4 and had a full frozen pelvis ( my organs were all fused together). The list of symptoms you give, I suffered with them from a monthly to daily basis and it is very difficult to get on with life. I was lucky to find a good surgeon ( in the UK). He treated as much of the endometriosis as he could and released my pelvis ( the relief the day after the operation was amazing). Do you have medication to take for the pain? Don't give up, I didn't think id ever be pain free but I've felt well for 18 months now so you can get there. Take care. Xx
