How long does it usually take for your cycle to come back after finishing prostap injections?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering in anyone can help or advice?

I only had 2 months of pratap. I decided not to get the third as the side effects were awful! It’s been around 11 weeks since my last injection so those nasty side effects have worn off (thank god) . I had felt ‘normal’ for around the last 5 weeks - no horrible side effects, no period, no bleeding however, the last few days I can really feel the endo pain coming back but no period yet. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience? Thanks you xx

Thank you for replying. How long was your course if you don’t mind me asking? Did you have the pain in this 6 months ? X

hi. ive had prostap twice. the last time was 1 x 3 month injection which i also took hrt with. my symptoms were considerably reduced. the first time i had it without hrt and struggled with the side effects.

Thank you for your reply. My Gyny app was cancelled before my third load was due and my doctor and nurse giving the injection wouldn’t prescribe me HRT so I didn’t go ahead. Did the HRT help you? Thanks x

it was a godsend. the side effects were minimal whilst on hrt
