Can choice of clothing cause a flare up ???

Probably sounds a little mental but I haven’t worn tight clothing such as skinny Jeans since my two laps in Jan and March and today I tried them on and after an hour had the most horrific pains. They weren’t causing any pain or tightness until a sudden surge of pain. It was so similar to a flare up, I was doubled over trying to carry my food shopping home. I tried my usual pain killers and heat pad but it barely touched it. Do you think this could just be a coincidence and was a flare up or is my abdominal area that sensitive externally ? I’m 20 with stage IV and had my last surgery 6 months ago.

Hi don’t worry it doesn’t sound mental! I’m the same I can’t really wear tight jeans anymore it causes me pain too!! It could have been a conincidnce and you were havjng a flare up regardless. But in my experience tight jeans don’t help me and you still be tender and healing from the surgery x

You don’t sound mental at all. I have the same problem with tight clothing around my belly, especially jeans. And no belts, I haven’t worn belts for years because these are guaranteed to make me hurt. I prefer softer materials, leggings or dresses. I avoid clothes with stiff waistbands that dig into my body. I found a pair of Spanx jeans that have a wide waist panel and side zip closure instead of the classic jeans waistband. These were probably the comfiest trousers I have ever worn. And although when we say Spanx, we think of something tight, these weren’t tight at all.
