Does stage 4 endometriosis means always infertile ?

I have stage 4 endo, and require a bowel resegment, I was told I had less than 1% chance of falling pregnant and IVF would only be an option after the surgery.

The morning of my MRI scan I found out I was pregnant having conceived naturally!

Do you have chocolate cysts ? In other word did endometriosis affect your ovaries?

I Have it on my vagina, pouch of Douglas, rectum, in my bowel and my left ovary is completely stuck with it.

The consultant was able to see that I had ovulated from my right ovary

I have had laps before but require extensive surgery however with this miracle it will be well down the line.

I have stage 4 Endo mainly on my ovaries & bowel. I struggled to conceive for years but Endometriosis was ruled out until I had a ruptured chocolate cyst! I had 2 lots of surgery but my cysts re appeared really quickly. I don't know how but I managed to conceive naturally twice while waiting to start IVF aged 38 & 40. Sadly I miscarried both babies but am now 29 weeks pregnant after IVF. Xx

Did the disease cause for you pains or just infertility ?

How do i know if my cysts ruptured ? Is there any symptoms ?

I was riddled with pain from about 17 years old but just got palmed off at the Doctors so thought for me it was normal! When my cyst ruptured I had a kinda tugging pain early on that day then suddenly agonising pain which I guess is when it burst. A & E told me it was stomach acid, then maybe my appendix. It was post op I found out what it was. X

I was stage 4 on my bowel and PoD and after 5 years of trying I went for IVF where they referred me back to gynae as I had a large chocolate cyst. 2 weeks later I was pregnant !!! Never loss hope and good luck x

So you got pregnant naturally with the cyst right ?

Yes I did! They removed it at c-section! I also got pregnant 3 years later naturally but that 1 did not end well and I can’t have babies now. But I have a beautiful 7 year old who is my life. Best wishes x
