Incomplete emptying of bladder after surgery?

I had my lap surgery on wednesday and I am able to feel the urge to wee but when I do go its not a full flow and it doesn't feel like I am emptying properly.

Should I be concerned as I have heard it can lead to infection and if so who should I go to.. my gp?

Thank you xx

Hey,

It took a few days for me to be able to wee properly after my surgery, I’m 3 weeks post lap and my toilet trips are normal again now. I hope this puts your mind at ease x

Hi Joanna, thankyou for your reply. Hope you are healing well.

Yes I think I just need to be patient and hopefully things will get back to normal.

X

Hiya, I was the same too, I was always going to the loo, but never felt like I’d passed everything. I think it might of been due to having the catheter put in during surgery. I also had quite a lot of burning and blood in my urine which turned out to be a bladder infection. I was back to normal after about 3 weeks. Hope you get some relief soon x
