I have had two ops now- last one being in 2013- had stage 3 endo both times removed! I have since gone on to have 2 children and have been putting off having the op again for as long as I can!
I am now having agonising back pain in left side radiating to my hips and thighs from the day my period ends- had this now for 3 months so can’t just be a conincidence!
Doctor told me it’s just a conincidence and that it’s from lifting kids and thinks my back is inflamed! Today I have put a request in to go private again and see my consultant!
Has anyone else experienced this pain after there period???
I’m in agony!!!
Thanks Carly x

Sometimes my endometriosis symptoms flare up or are at their worst when my period ends. One amazing doctor told me to remember that there isn’t a rule book with endometriosis andbeven if there was, it certainty wouldn’t play by it. I experience left sided pain and much like you have described, I also get shooting electric shock type pains in my back. One of the places I have endometriosis is my pouch of Douglas and I think that causes my back problems
Don’t let them fob you off, you know your body best
I had my lap in june and also have stage 3, the months leading to this op for the last year really I got the worst pain on 3/4th day. The pain was so bad pain killers didn’t touch it.
Painkillers with codiene were better than normal ones.
So sorry to read your pains back - may I ask how long it stayed away for ?
So i think there was about 18 months between laps 1 & 2 and then just over 4 years between 2 & 3- and in that time I managed to have two beautiful children!!!
