Yes, I no longer go to the doctor's. After many years of being referred and going for consultations and tests I was actually getting worse not better, and made what was for me the right decision to take my health into my own hands. My situation is complicated by chronic Lyme, which was diagnosed privately, but denied by the NHS. They did diagnose endo but when the pain increased to every day of the month after surgery the consultant's reaction was to shrug his shoulders and say that it must be something else causing the pain. Not going to the doctors has taken one layer of stress away for me. I'm happy to take responsibility for myself, but it's certainly not a route for everybody and in an ideal world it wouldn't need to be this way.
