Op now booked in for removal of stage 4, I still need weight off for my op, do I ring up and let them know I still have some weight to lose or just see how much I can lose before the nov date?

Have you tried a low carb diet rather than low fat? Are you dieting well and cutting all calories but still not losing weight? Are you able to exercise, even just walking?

If you're doing everything possible, ie. exercising and dieting (and sticking to it) and still not losing weight then you need to see your doctor and find out why. One thing to check is what you're drinking. I've known people cut back on food but are still downing sugary drinks of alcohol and that is where all their calories are coming from.

Endometriosis and Candida Albicans are great friends. Candida is a bacteria we often have in the gut, (the same one that causes thrush if it gets down there) and it feeds on carbs but is encouraged to grow by oestrogen. It also produces its own version of oestrogen as does endo. It then generates chemicals that cause you to crave carbs. So it can grow out of control if it is getting loads of oestrogen and carbs. I dropped about a stone when I went of a almost carb free diet. But be warned you'll feel like shit for a week as the candida dies off and screams at you to give it carbs. Then it takes your body a while to get used to getting energy from fat rather than carbs.

I have been following slimming world, I struggle with low carb due to reactive hypoglycaemia from being a binge eater in the past. I am eating lots of protein and veg and little carbs. I don’t drink sugary drinks or alcohol at all but do like a cup of tea and diet pop. I could defo drink more water. I excercise (walk) on a good day but they at few and far between.

I have had a horrible virus for the past few weeks which meant I could only stomach carbs anything veg like or proteins were making me spew 😢 so have lived off white bread and rice. Getting back to normal now with the veggies and protein and managed a long walk at the weekend.

It has been suggested to try and eat smaller meals but more often to see if that helps x

I ended up ringing them to tell them I would not be ready x they were a little rude at the booking office, as if I wasn’t trying hard enough, 4 stone in 3 month was a stretch I think and a little optimistic.

They are trying to reschedule for next year, but I will ring them when I get nearer my mini target.
