One week past lap

So it one week past lap and feel quite good if i dear to say juat very tender in side belly and belly button looks quite sore and smell horribe dont no what to do. But then im fighting still with another condition but hopfull one day it all be over but part from that im half fix haha

The wound may be infected so id go doctors ASAP. Is it oozing pus?

I used an ice pack wrapped in a towel just below my belly button as it was swollen and tender for about 2 weeks xx

Its not infected as lookafter it very well just stiches

I found that with the belly button incision (two ops so I know this works!) it needs air to heal. The best thing is to get some non-adhesive dressing - the type inside plasters - or in a first aid kit, cut it small about half a centimetre by a centimetre and roll, then push into belly button - cover belly button with plaster as usual to stop it falling out, or if you're happy just leave it open . This will allow air to get in and help it heal while absorbing the liquid coming out. Replace twice a day, if it doesn't come out easily put a few drops of salt water in and give it 5 mins. Repeat until there's less liquid coming out and it looks like it's scabbing. Mine took 3 weeks, doc seemed happy with the method. Just don't poke stuff too deep in.

Natural antiseptics work well with healing. I found savlon etc had moisturisers in which break up the scab if left on it so I used colloidal silver (looks like water - try amazon), aloe vera / witch hazel / tea tree oil work well too - dilute as per instructions and dab on then leave to do it's amazing work. These can also be used on the rolled up dressing / to remove the dressing from inside the belly button.
