I have literally been racking my brains and over-using Dr. Google to try and find what’s wrong with me?! I am 23 and for the past 2 years I have had the most excruciating pain during ovulation (most often around my left pelvic/ovary area) and it shoots down my left leg, often causing a ticklish/tingling sensation too. At first, I thought it was mittelschmertz, then maybe PID, but I often feel incredibly fatigued and nauseous, and the pain varies between sharp/momentary and dull/constant. It happens without fail every month. Sometimes around ovulation and other times a few days after I finish my period? Intimacy is sometimes so incredibly painful, especially when I am bent over (apologies for tmi), but the pain in the pelvic and pelvic floor region is ridiculously intense afterwards I can barely move. Does this sound familiar to anyone? It is making intimacy with my love very hard as he tends to feel like it is his fault I am in so much pain, I am literally scared to have sex sometimes as I don’t know whether I’m experiencing a flare up?
I have a GP appointment scheduled and have already had a pelvic ultrasound (which came back all clear), so I’m wondering what is going on? I’ve heard GPS are not all that useful when it comes to endo so could any of you ladies point me in the right direction of which questions to ask/scans to request etc?
